Australia is the only nation on the globe that is a continent as well. The capital city of Australia is Canberra. STUDENT FEES STRUCTURE
The tuition fees of an institution is from Australian $6000 to Australian $14000 per semester. But this completely depends upon type of course and college as well. Earlier, their used to be 8 sub-classes(570-576) for student visa in Australia which is now changed to just one sub-class 500.
STUDENT WORK RIGHTS
A student is allowed to work 20 hours a week maximum when the academic months are going on. And during vacation he/she can work for unlimited hours. However, an international student who is studying master’s degree by research or a PhD degree can work for unlimited hours even during the course.
DEPENDENT WORK RIGHTS
The spouse of a student studying bachelors or diploma in Australia is allowed to work for 20 hours a week. But, if the student is studying in a post graduate course or a PhD then the spouse is allowed to work for unlimited hours.
POST STUDY WORK RIGHTS
Graduates who have completed a Bachelors or a Masters degree by coursework in Australia is eligible to apply for a work visa of 2 years after the completion of studies.
Graduates who have completed a Masters degree by research work are eligible for a 3 year work visa post studies.
Graduates who have completed a Doctorate degree are eligible to apply for a 4 year work visa after their degree completion.
Students studying in any courses other than these are eligible for the Temporary Skilled Graduate [subclass 485] visa. This is a temporary visa that allows an 18 month stay to work in Australia
- If a student’s course is of duration 12 months or longer then his/her spouse as well as children can accompany him/her.
